Privacy Policy for the Waldi iOS App

This Privacy Policy explains how Byte Ocean Software Corp. ("Byte Ocean", "we", "us" or "our") collects, uses, discloses, and safeguards information in connection with the Waldi iOS mobile application (the "App"). If you do not agree with this policy, please do not use the App.
1. Scope
This policy covers the Waldi iOS App. The App is intended for use by residents of the United States and by licensed real estate professionals (realtors). If you use our website or other services, additional terms may apply.
2. Information we collect
The information we collect depends on how you use the App. Where noted as "if applicable," those items only apply to specific features you choose to use.
2.1 Information you provide (if applicable)
- Account information: If you sign in, we use Sign in with Apple. Apple may share your name and email address (you can choose to hide your email via Apple’s private relay). We also receive an Apple‑provided identifier that is unique to this App for your account.
- Support communications: Messages you send to us.
- Subscriptions and payments: If you subscribe, payments are processed by Stripe. We do not receive or store full payment card numbers. Stripe may provide us with limited payment metadata (e.g., last4, card brand, payment token) to manage your subscription.
2.2 Information collected automatically
- Device and app information: device model, OS version, App version, language, country/region.
- Usage analytics: feature interactions, session timestamps, screens viewed. We currently use a privacy‑focused analytics service, TelemetryDeck, which hashes the user identifier before transmission and does not build advertising profiles.
- Diagnostics: crash logs and performance data to improve stability (may be collected via Apple or our analytics provider).
- Camera access (permission‑based): If you use the Stripe “scan card” feature to quickly add a payment card, the App requests Camera permission solely to read card details. We do not save photos or videos; camera frames are processed only to read card numbers for entry convenience and are not retained by us.
2.3 Data we do not collect
- We do not collect precise geolocation.
- We do not collect your contacts, photos, microphone, or files unless a specific feature explicitly asks for permission, in which case the data stays on‑device or is used only for that feature. Camera is requested only for the optional Stripe “scan card” feature and is not used to capture or store media.
- We do not track you across apps and websites owned by other companies.
3. How we use your information
- Provide, operate, and maintain the App.
- Improve and optimize the App (including debugging, analytics, and performance monitoring).
- Communicate with you, including support.
- Comply with legal obligations and enforce terms.
4. Sharing and disclosure
We do not sell your personal information. We may share information with:
- Service providers acting on our behalf (e.g., analytics, crash reporting, cloud hosting). These providers are bound by contractual obligations to protect your data.
- Legal and compliance recipients when required by law, to protect rights, safety, or investigate misuse.

Note: The exact categories may change if App features change. Our goal is to use the minimum data necessary and avoid cross‑app tracking.
6. TelemetryDeck analytics
We use TelemetryDeck, a privacy‑focused analytics service. TelemetryDeck hashes the user identifier on‑device before sending metrics, avoids building advertising profiles, and supports data minimization. We use analytics solely to understand usage patterns and improve the App. We do not use analytics data for advertising or cross‑app tracking.
7. Data retention
We retain personal information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy or as required by law. Aggregated or de‑identified analytics may be retained longer for trend analysis.
8. Your rights and choices
You may have rights to access, correct, delete, or restrict processing of your personal information under applicable U.S. laws.

- Notifications and permissions: You can manage iOS permissions in Settings at any time.
California residents have rights under the CCPA/CPRA. We do not sell or share personal information for cross‑context behavioral advertising. The App is marketed and provided for use in the United States only.
9. Location of processing
We process and store information in the United States. The App is intended for U.S. residents only. If you access or use the App from outside the United States, you understand that your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States.
10. Children's privacy
The App is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child provided information, contact us to delete it.
11. Security
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The effective date above reflects the latest version. Material changes will be communicated in‑app or on our website.
